What do I check if my DEQ and EXT stations are not dimming low enough?

Problem: Lights do not dim low enough on a DEQ or EXT station.

The DEQ and SYRSP stations have a default level for the low trim of 20%.

To test if this is a low trim issue set the level of button 16 on that address to a level of 1.

To test on a remote station of address 4 you would press on the front panel START, OVERRIDING, GROUP, 2416 ((Station address+16) + 2000 = Group #), Level, 1, ENTER.

This will set the low trim to 1%.

Test to see if lights dim to level expected.

If lights do not dim to level expected contact support – 1-800-533-2719

If lights do dim to level expected levels then a logic script will need to be created and uploaded to the controller to set this on power up. If this is not done the change will only last until the next controller reboot.

Example Script

// TITLE: SCRIPT TO SET EXT DEVICES TO DIM BELOW 20% DEFAULT LEVEL
// DATE: 4-18-2013
// AUTHOR: JEFF JAMES - ACUITY BRANDS CONTROLS
//
// THE LEVEL OF BUTTON 16 ON AN EXT DEVICE SETS THE LOW TRIM ON THAT DEVICE. BY DEFAULT THIS LEVEL IS 20%. BY USING THIS SCRIPT YOU CAN SE THE LOW TRIM BY
// INSERTING A VALUE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE EQUALS SIGN.
//
IF POWERUP THEN
// LIST YOUR DEQ'S AND SYRSP'S UNDERHERE IN THE FORMAT OF STATION # AND BUTTON 16. EXAMPLE IS FOR A DEQ AT ADDRESS 15 AND A DEQ AT ADDRESS 4.
BUTTON 0416 = 1
BUTTON 1516 = 1
ENDIF
